Spazio Elastico is Gray’s first solo album (Gray is a member of the Melbourne based experimental duo Snawklor) and explores a series of ideas that attempt to deform the gridded space of the software sequencer. Using phasing, constant subtle changes in speed and gradual time shifts and stretching. The album remains continually anchored in the implied motoric of dance music and plays with gridding devices such as counting aloud to maintain a tension that never fully breaks or adheres to a regular timing.  
 
The album’s title references a 1967 installation by Gianni Colombo which consists of a room crisscrossed with string lines that slowly move, subtly stretching and deforming the woven gridded structure of the space.
